Haller Clock Restoration Journey
When this remarkable Haller clock arrived at our workshop, it was in need of an hour strike repair. The strike train had been silent for years, and upon investigation, a broken mainspring was identified as the culprit. However, our
inspection revealed several other issues, and with the client’s approval, we
embarked on a full movement restoration coupled with a conservative case
restoration.
Restoring a Kieninger & Obergfell (Kundo) Anniversary Clock
When this Kieninger & Obergfell, or Kundo, anniversary clock arrived in our workshop, it was in a very neglected state, corroded, dusty, mishandled, with a broken suspension spring and its glass dome missing. Many repairers choose not to work on these clocks, and it is not hard to see why, they can take considerable time and patience to set up correctly, and their suspension springs are delicate and costly to replace.
Restoring a Kohler Dual Time Zone Globe Clock
This rare Kohler dual time zone globe clock arrived completely non functional, which is a condition we often see. The owner requested a full repair and service while keeping the original exterior patina, an excellent decision for a clock whose age has created a deep and genuine character.
